Arsenal have all but announced the recruitment of right back Stephan Lichtsteiner as the first Unai Emery signing - and fans are VERY happy.
Switzerland international Lichtsteiner spent Friday at the Gunners' London Colney training centre having jetted in to agree a deal in north London.
The 34-year-old will join on a free having ended his contract at Juventus this summer - Lichtsteiner seven years in Turin, winning the Serie A title in each of his seasons there.
He will add much needed experience to a Gunners side that finished sixth in the Premier League to miss out on Champions League football for a second successive campaign.
Lichtsteiner is expected to sign a one-year deal, which includes the option of a further year.
