KWANKWASO SECURES THE RELEASE OF OVER 200 PRISON INMATES IN KANO

SENATOR Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano Central has secured the release of over 200 prison inmates from Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara and Sokoto states, in the spirit of Muslim Fasting period. The gesture was done under Kwankwasiyya Development Foundation,  of which 170 inmates were release from prisons across Kano state and
41 from Kebbi, Zamfara and Sokoto states. Addressing media men immediately after the release, the former Commissioner of Justice during Kwankwaso administration,  Barrister Maliki Kuliya Umar, disclosed that another set of 107 inmates would also be release from Katsina, Kaduna and Jigawa states. Kuliya called on the freed inmates to imbibe the culture of hard work,  honesty and commitment to human development in their years ahead,  stressing that Senator Kwankwaso was a promoter of people's freedom and peaceful coexistence. The Foundation according to Kuliya, would always be ready to free people from artificial poverty worrying the society,  amongst poor fellow Nigerians. All the freed inmates were given the sum of N5,000 to transport themselves to their various destinations,  adding that, the Foundation would also look at other areas worrying poor citizens,  with the view to alleviating their fear. One of the freed inmates,  Hamisu Sani Rijiyar Lemo, who gave an appreciation speech on behalf of the remaining,  commended Kwankwaso for the good gesture,  assuring that, they would continue to be good and well behaved citizens henceforth.
