CAC pastor thrown out of church by members

A church service which was taking place at Abule-Ijesha in Yaba local government, Lagos state, on Sunday, July 24, was reported to have ended in a brawl as the members threw their pastor, Micheal Oni, out of the church when the church service was ongoing. It was later revealed that the issue had started over disagreements on the use of the church funds and Mr Oni's monthly allowance. 

A member of the church said that the pastor was recently transferred to the branch from Ibadan, and has been demanding a certain amount as his salary which the church refused to pay him.

Badejo Adelu tells TVC:

Oni was accused of insulting the members of the church and generally causing trouble for them.

"He has been giving the church problem, causing chaos in the church and fighting members, insulting and raising bad covenant between members."

In his defence, Oni revealed that the church members refused to render accounts of the church to him, saying:

"I asked them that I want to see the account of the church which they failed to render. I told them they should not spend any money without approval by me, they refused." The pastor said that he will wait for the supreme authorities to interfere in the matter on ground.
