Davido opened up on a little in-house fight at Sony Music. The singer has currently taken the spot from Runtown to own the biggest song ‘IF’ in Africa.
The DMW boss on instagram explained that the Sony Music
executives tried to change his sound to appeal to a global audience. This came
in as he shared a video of American singer Omarion singing along to his smash
hit ‘IF’. He also in his post revealed he fought to be allowed to stick to his
culture and sound.
He said;
“The bro @1omarion feeling da ‘IF’ vibes! All last year,
they tried to change my sound .. Saying staying true to my culture wouldn’t
work for me outside Africa!
