Fast rising indigenous rapper ‘SYNO’
who hails from Ogun State, Nigeria, talks about his career during an interview

Please Can We Meet You?
My name is Adenekan Idris popularly known by my
stage name ‘Syno’. I’m a rap artiste, an indigene of Ogun state;
presently I reside in Lagos state. I was born and brought up in Papa Ajao area
of Mushin and that's where I stayed till date.
Your Educational Background
For my primary Education, I attended a primary
school called Aunty Nikky in Papa Ajao
Mushin where I stayed, then later attended Command Day Secondary School Oshodi.
Afterwards I was offered admission at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic where I
obtained my OND certificate.
How Did You Come Up With The Nickname?
A friend gave it to me during my secondary
school days, though it was formed out from my name Tosin (Tosyno).
That was how I got the idea of abbreviating it to Syno.
What Really Inspired Your Kind Of Music As An
Indigenous Rap Artiste
I grew up listening to Dagrin though
football had always been my dream, which I really worked towards. But things
didn’t work out as I excepted so I decided to face music.
How Long Have You Been Into Music?
It’s been over four years now, It all
started in 2012, during my final year in secondary school.
How Are You Able To Combine Your Musical Career With
Your Education?
There is time for everything, and education
is a very vital in anything you venture into so as your career, your career is
very important cause the situation in Nigeria now has really made education non
valuable to our Nigerian youths. And as for me, I’m willing to trade my career
for anything.
Who Do You Look Up To In The Music Industry Now?
No body else than Olamide Adedeji aka Badoo
Do You Have Any Song On Air?
Yeah I have two tracks which I uploaded
online.
Asiko mi is my main track and it has been shared
online, Adura Elijah {Jhybo’s Cover) was uploaded online.
Do You Have A Record Label?
Not yet.
What’s The Biggest Sacrifices You Ever Paid For
Your Musical Ambition?
I did go to an extent of booking my studio
sessions with my tertiary school fee. Which made me missed some of my exams but
I did return them anyways.
Any major stages you have performed before
Any Competition Or Awards
Not really but went for a competition once, which
was held in Abeokuta where I was mentioned as the second runner up but no
award.
Any Word For Your Fans
I really appreciate them for been
supportive to me from day one and I promise not to let them down.
