Saraki promises to tackle unemployment, says Nigeria needs a dynamic president,

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki has again berated the leadership style of the President Muhammadu Buhari, saying Nigeria urgently needs a dynamic president who understands the problems facing the country.

Saraki who spoke at the Peoples Democratic Party’s secretariat in Bauchi said “There is poverty in the country, things have not improved as expected and we must provide alternative solution to Nigerians.

“It is not a personal issue of a president, it’s about ourselves. It is about what I can offer to Nigerians. I will make my case to Nigerians then they will decide who has a better chance of making their lives better.”

Saraki while canvassing for support of Peoples Democratic Party in Bauchi said there was a need for government to create an employment climate for the youth to strive.

He noted, “There must be a climate of investment. And again, on security, we must not fold our arms. Also, the government must be dynamic to be able to responsible and bring out the necessary reform and I believe with my experience, my energy I would be able to address that” he said.

He pointed that politics was meant for the youth to achieve modern government and sophisticated leadership, he therefore sought the support of the Bauchi delegates in October to support their own (Saraki). He promised to uphold the principles of the party and ensure PDP takes over the governorship and all senatorial seats in the State.

In his remarks, the State chairman of PDP, Alhaji Hamza Akuyam described the Sanate President as a “symbol of democracy” for the roles he is playing in the National Assembly. He said Saraki was able to influenced two serving senators in the state and the speaker of the House of Representatives; Yakubu Dogara to PDP.

He therefore assured him of being their preferred candidate in the state during the October presidential primary.

Two serving senators in the state and his campaign media and publicity director, Dr. Doyin Okupe, accompanied Saraki.
