Apple has released a two-minutes campaign Christmas ad for 2016. It's having a go at tugging on the heartstrings, depicting Frankenstein's monster trying to fit in during the festive season.
The ad begins with Mary Shelley's Victorian character out in his isolated log cabin, before he shuffles into town, much to the astonishment of villagers.
And then the 'monster', with flashing, coloured bulbs sticking out of his neck, sings a carol in the market square. And uses his iPhone to record it. Obviously.
The ad is called 'Frankie's Holiday'. It does seem to be quite a political statement, given the tumultuous year we've had. It's as sentimental as last year's, which featured Stevie Wonder, but a little more hard-hitting.

"Open your heart to everyone" is Apple's closing message. It comes just before a little girl starts to sing along, moving the other locals watching on to do the same.
The thing is, although Apple released its Christmas ad on Monday, but what people can seem to talk about is the new Apple Music ad with Drake.
In it, he's dancing and singing along to Taylor Swift, who last year was equally self-deprecating, and fell off a treadmill.
Drake is seen lifting weights and struggling. But then, when his workout partner leaves...he turns on the Swift. And boogies. Not everyone appreciated his sense of humour

That new Apple ad of Drake dancing x singing along to a Taylor Swift song is quite disturbing 😕— Lebo Tsatsimpe (@Lebo_T) November 22, 2016
