“Despacito Remix”
turned out to be a possible win for Justin
Bieber, especially after he struck out in the Latin pop community after teaming
up with J Balvin on the remix of his
own No. 1 hit, “Sorry.” Where Bieber
possibly redeemed himself in the new remix by actually trying his hand at
Spanish instead of conforming to the typical bilingual remix standards.
As the romantic strings of a guitar lead into the track, JB
kicks off in English, singing of how his girl brightens up even the darkest of
days. But as the bass drops, Justin joins the Latin pop kings to sing the
chorus in Spanish. “Despacito. Quiero respirar tu cuello despacito / Deja que
te diga coasas al oído / Para que te acuaerdes si no estás conmigo,” he sings
with raspy vocals.
